Day 2

Posted on June 1, 2005

Today is the second day of SIMSI and already we are off and running! Yesterday we got into our groups and discussed a topic for our documentary. At first we were thinking of doing a piece on "Burlington Bread" which is a local movement to create a currency to compliment the US Dollar. A good point that was brought up, however, was that it is not visually stimulating therefore not a good topic. The second option we talked about was the view of America by foreign countrys, as told by UVM students that have gone abroad.
This is a much more visually stimulating project and I think it will be fun to explore. I esp think my team will do a good job with it, as two of the members recently studied abroad! At any rate, class has begun and I must go take notes!
